A few questions!

Hey y'all

I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can answer for me.

Q1. With all this reminder about pasting into Notepad.. I'm just wondering, is there a difference between Notepad and WordPad? Can Word Pad be used?

Q2. I know you can download the site, but I'm just wondering if it's possible just to download the past blogs?

Q.3 By using the image tool in my text editor widget, I was able to upload a photo. Now, I resized it right in the widget. Then, I copied the image and put it elsewhere in my site. Is this going to work? Or do I have upload the image again and resize again? It appears to be fine when I see it on my published site.

Th-th-that's all for now folks!

Hi littleus

1) Notepad and Wordpad for me has worked the same. I have never once had difficulties with either in that regards. ;)

2) The blog question I simply do not know sorry... There are some I do not ;)

3) Yes you can copy and paste any object from a text widget into another text widget. The code will be stored in your clipboard and then you can transfer it to any page. This saves a great deal of time when transferring content from one page to another or as in the use of a bottom text menu that you would like on each and all of your pages. ( I used this frequently in the past)

Happy site building

Hey Ed

Thanks for letting me know about the Wordpad vs. Notepad. The reason why I asked was because it didn't seem like my codes were being stripped. Then, I realized that my wordpad automatically saves as an .rtf file and that's why I wasn't getting the bare codes - I have to save as a .txt file.

Glad to hear that the objects can be copied and pasted - it definitely saves time that way!

As for the blog - hmmm.. does anyone know about this? I'll just re-iterate my question. I was just wondering if the blog posts themselves can be downloaded?

Hi Littleus,
The Download Site feature is in place for users who would like to download their site to then upload to another server. When you click on Download Site it will download the entire site in zipped format. Does this answer your question?

Hi Emmy

I knew there was a download for the whole site. I was just wondering if there was a way to download just the old blogs so that I can eventually print them off or save them for safekeeping.

When you download the site there will be a zipped folder labeled Blog that will have the information for you blog in it. But it isn't in a printable format.
