A new bug?

Duke noticed that when we hit the preview button, the site opens up into a new window on FF, whereas previously, it opened up into a new tab.

I went to do some work & hit preview and the above happened. Then, I went to a different page and went to preview it and this message comes up:

To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier.

I say ok, and then it's the old preview from the other page that loads up, not my current one.

I think someone needs to take a look at this.

Just some more information here:

I logged out of my site, cleared my cache and logged back in. The first preview went fine (still opening up in a new window though) But when I tried to preview a different page, it's the origiinal preview that I saw.

This message - "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier. " isn't coming up anymore though.

Hi Littleus,
I have just tested the Preview function in Firefox and am not able to replicate what you are seeing. Are you still experiencing this? If anyone else is seeing this please let us know.

My preview opens in a new window, which apparently is the NEW way.
I'm not getting the FF warning message that you are getting Littleus.

Okay.. this is what's happening.

Previously, before the upgrade, when I would preview the site, it would come up in a new tab. If I left that tab open, and then went to another page on my site and went to preview it, the tab that was opened, would refresh and give me the new preview.

NOW... the preview does work.. but it cannot refresh the open preview window. You have to close that window, then press preview to see your current page. Am I making sense?

Hey all, this is not expected behavior for the Preview button and our engineers are aware of the problem. For the time being you will need to close the current Preview browser window before you use the Preview feature for another page. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Shaq, what happens if you click on Resend or Cancel? Does it Preview? If you try again, does the error come up repeatedly?

I had that message initially. For me this only happens when the preview page is already open. When I try to resend, the preview page remains the same, it does not refresh. This is when I discovered that you have to close the preview page and then click on the preview button.

Hey all --

This should be fixed now. If you continue to see this problem, feel free and post here again.

Clarifying: Firefox continues to open windows for Preview just like every other browser. But you shouldn't see that warning message anymore, and the Preview window should always be previewing the right page. :)

Thanks,
Mike
