Hello,

I am thinking about opening a new section of my site, but I would like to know first if Yola server's are enabled for SSI?
Also, I read on the news that there is whales being pulled from the beach in Cape Town SA. That makes me sad.

Hi lambofgod

Unfortunately websites hosted by Yola cannot be secured using SSL certificates as we are virtual hosting. Therefore we do not assign a unique ip address to each website.

If you wish to secure your websites with SSL certificates you will need to move to an ISP who can provide you with a unique IP address for each of your websites. The other option is to use a third party payment gateway (like PayPal or Google Checkout) as you will use their security to transact online.

Does this answer your question? If not, please let me know.

Hadn't heard about the whales - but very sad if that is the case!

Hey Monique,

I was looking at a code and it requires an SSI (server side includes) not a secure socket layer. But then I found out later by a good friend of mine that the code requires a .shtml extension. Well thanks for looking into it for me :)! About the whales: Authorities began on Sunday of the grim task of removing the carcasses of 55 whales that beached themselves. Really sad.

Sorry, I saw SSL not SSI - I must have been staring at the screen too long. Anyway, glad you got your answer.
