it is true that everyone wants this, but it may also be impossible. Maybe you should be asking Yola if it's possible to do this? I believe login systems require server-side scripting.

Yes Donald you are very correct. Logins do require SSI (server side includes) and usually PHP. This is sometimes complicated on one site let alone let every one in Yola have their own. It may be impossible but I'm sure nothing is impossible with our awesome Yola Engineers. :D

well... if it requires server side then Yola would have to transform EVERYTHING which is something we all know they probably won't do... which in turn makes this impossible.

and yola changing how the site looks isn't because they are changing "the way yola looks"... they are changing the functionality (ease of use, etc.) of the website in turn makes yola look different.

And if login systems is possible with yola... have you ever thought... maybe they are working on it? Login systems are some of the most complex part of web design for the website creators (yola for example). The have to create the systems, they have to create automatic page generation (a page assigned to a user after they register with your site), they have to be able to store all the information provided by each person but this has to be done on a different server. This server holds all information associated with the login system.

did you read the topic from yesterday about membership systems? You should try the source provided and then get back with me and tell me if it works lol :)... Supposedly they can create login systems for you and they work well with yola.

Not "everyone" wants or needs a login. ;)

That is true....I still feel a real Yola based E mail service would attract more small businesses and domains purchased through Yola....Most of us running a small business are used to paying for that and maybe it could be a Yola Pro... E Commerce Add On.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the input on the login feature. We do understand that this is something that many people would like to see, but as it has been said on this thread, this is a huge undertaking and would involved extensive engineering. I cannot say if this is something that will be coming in the future, but we do hear you that it would be a very nice feature to have.

Kind Regards,
Emmy
