A record problems

I'm a quite experienced Yola user with a number of sites up and running with no problems at all. Our latest site (rmxdirect.yolasite.com) however is causing us all sorts of problems with trying to get our domain, www.rmxdirect.com to point to it. We have created the A records with our registrar (NETIM) and they are definitely correct. We know this as we have done exactly the same procedure in the past with www.motormouse.es and www.edibleplatecompany.com. It has been over a week since we created the A records.

The only thing we can think of is that previously www.rmxdirect.com was on permanent forward to www.rmxdirect.co.uk. This we removed a number of days ago BUT our WHOIS record for www.rmxdirect.com still seeems to point at the same servers as www.rmxdirect.co.uk.

Any ideas of what we need to do as I've run out of ideas!

Best regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue. When I do a DNS lookup on your domain, your A records are not setup. Here is a link - http://www.intodns.com/rmxdirect.com.

I suggest contacting your domain host for further assistance with this.

I appear to have reached an impass. Here are the thoughts of NETIM.

Hello,

"Exactly, Your settings don't work.

Can you fix and correct the error(s) on the 208.75.208.172 web server or put the NETIM settings."

HELP!

Firstly you will need to configure your domain name to point to Yola. You do this by creating A records (address record) to point to this IP address: "208.75.208.172".

We have a tutorial outlining the steps to configuring your domain: Publish to a domain you already own.

For detailed instructions for a few specific domain registrars please click on this link: Domain Configuration with GoDaddy, Register.com & other domain registrars.

Once you've pointed your domain, watch a step-by-step video on how to publish your site using a domain you already own, please see: Publish to an external domain.

Hi there Paul,

Kershnee sent me your request - I hope you don't mind.

Unfortunately I am unable to find any A records on your domain. You can see here link that your set up is showing an error.

It could be a delay in propagation but I would suggest re-adding your A records and then see if you can publish to your domain. Just to make sure.

Please let me know if I can assist further.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for getting involved.

I have deleted the two A records at NETIM for rmxdirect.com. I will leave it for a while to see if I get the rmxdirect.com holding page at NETIM. Once that has happened I will try recreating the A records.
