Hi Kevin,

Sorry to hear that. Would you be open to us giving it a try? If so please link the page you are working on and tell us the widget you want to delete.

Hi Kevin,

I can't open your Sitebuilder URL, I need the published page URL or the name of the page if it isn't published.

The first widget on your homepage is a horizontal line widget. Are you referring to your homepage or a different page?

Hi Kevin,

I am still standing by to help but as I mentioned above, the page you linked is your homepage and the first widget is a horizontal line widget, not a blank text widget. Are you referring to a different page?

I can also direct you to the initial troubleshooting section of this tutorial but if you can clarify the page you are referring to, I'm still happy to test on my end.

I don't see that reply Kevin, but we were able to remove that widget for you. It was filled with bad HTML code that broke the page.

Hi,

Thanks for doing that.

I have tried to add and delete widgets on the same page but are unable to do so. Can this be fixed?

Thanks

Hello Kevin

I've managed to find out what the problem on your home page is. When you open it in the Sitebuilder, you will see an area with a red-dotted line. This is the content area of your page which should be the only area where your widgets go. However, on your home page I can see that you somehow managed to place some of your widgets outside this red-dotted area below the content area. This is most probably caused by multiple instances of custom code you use on your home page and makes the widgets unremovable.

Please be more careful when you add custom code in future. The code should not inlcude < body >, or < head >, or < footer > tags because with Yola Free accounts and using the Style Template you use, it's only possible to add content to the body area.

To solve the current problem on your home page, all you need to do is drag and drop each widget which is currently outside the red-dotted area inside the red-dotted area. Once done, this will allow you again to remove the ones you don't want any more. If you have any questions, please let me know.
