A wonderful suggestion for experienced website developers

I have an idea and I wonder why Synthasite doesn't offer this. Why not provide a sort of file management system where users can actually upload their own CSS instead of the ones that are provided from the site.
I do know how to make templates but I don't want to spend money on the domain,; just a suggestion, but I think it would really help me out.

Hi Azia,

Thank you for the suggestion. Right now you need to select your style from our style library. We are working on adding more and better styles/templates with more customization options.

Currently you can change the banner image, colour palette and background image on some of our styles. We want to make more options available like this, and one of our future plans is to allow you to develop your own CSS style if this is something that interests you. However, this functionality is going to take significant engineering on our part, so it is still a little ways into the future. In the meantime I hope you can find a style to suit your needs.

You may be interested in this link: http://www.synthasite.com/synthasite-.... It has a handy filter function for you to see which style you might like. You can also check out this site http://forsite.synthasite.com/website..., where one of our SynthaSiters has added a page to his site comparing styles.

Thanks for the suggestions Ruth; I was actually looking at other free hosting sites and I noticed that they have FTP accounts available. Maybe if Synthasite networked with FreeHostia.com you could come up with a better solution than the awesome service you guys already have. (Since FreeHostia also has some flaws that could be tweaked a bit like the 6MB/month bandwidth limit.) But again just a suggestion because I am really trying to start my site at no cost to me (at least for the moment.
