Hey there. :)
I've been usng Yola for almmost a week now, and i'm really excited about it. Everyting works perfectly, it's cheap and the suppoert is also just great. The only think which is a pretty big minus for me, is that it's not possible for people who visit the site, to make an account. My yola site is a community website, so it's quite difficult to not have the ability to create users.

I searched through the forum, and found a post with ̈the same "problem" as me, and you told him that you were working on it. It's over 8 months ago now, and nothing showed up yet. Are you still working on it, or did you forget it?

Hello Andisch,
Unfortunately we don't have specific plans at this time to add this feature, however here is a link to another thread where Jeremy gives some other suggestions: Member login.

I hope this information is helpful!

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Hello Andisch,

you can do this with a workaround. Nathan has developed a system which integrates it for you. Maybe you can work in with him. I'm pretty sure he will see this thread.

Hi, you can also use www.authpro.com! This site is a system where you can have a login page, a registration page and the members area that are protected. You can see mine here: http://my.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc You can either sign up by clicking the link under the login box that says "Don't have an account? Create on here"

The reason why this isn't available is because it will be hard for them to create it because of all of the stuff evolved. They can't just add a few codes. It is very complicated. The first thing is that each and every website built with Yola will have to have it's own database to store the members login details and all of the info for each user on your website. This would be very hard. A database for every website would be hard to keep up and maintain it. I agree with Yola because I know why it would be hard.

Another problem is that membership systems have to have PHP to make it work (like to make them login when they submit the login form and the emails and stuff) and, PHP is not yet compatible with Yola. So, this will be an extremely hard project.

I understand they could use one database so when they signup on one website is signs them up for Yola actually but it would be better if it was one database for each site.

I hope this gives you a better understanding of why there is no membership systems yet.

Sincerely,
Nathan

No problem, have you logged in to my website? If you tried to go to my members area, you probably couldn't access it because right now my whole network is down for some reason. So, you wont be able to login right now, more info on my site: The Nathans Music Studio website is down right now (This isn't Yola, just mine) If you need any help with setting up Authpro, please don't hesitate to ask me! I set up somebody's whole members area on this forum, so, I can help anyone with authpro! :)

Sincerely,
Nathan

Hello Mediocre Games,

Yola at this stage doesn't have a user login for members to your website. It is not in the advised immediate plans to include this and may never be because of perceived security issues within the Yola environment.

I suggest that you look at http://authpro.com and have a look at thir various plans. Other users have been able to do this with authpro.
