About new silver accounts.
When a new silver acount expires, the user lose ever new feature? For example if somebody uses a premium style, it will be changed to a free style automatically? The css option will be lost and appears the yola trademark? Or we lose only Premium phone support and Premium email support?
Thank you.

I have Yola Silver. I did not receive an email advising me of the chnage to Silver or the new facilities planned, which others seem to have received. Was that a glitch or was it that nobody with Silver was notified? If it was the latter then I think a suitable email should have been sent to one and all as it it an important change.

Thank you Jeremy. There is of course a possibility I have deleted it, although it is not in my delete bin. I do not have spam filtering turned on so it should not be anything to do with that. Season's Greetings - Claire

Hi Claire, do you have the check mark in your profile checked to receive newsletters? Go to My Yola and on the side click 'Profile' right below "Account" and then make sure the check mark is checked like this:

I hope this helps.

Hello moysikh.com

Thank you for your patience. It has been appreciated! One of my colleagues was able to get back to me with information.

When your Yola Silver expires, your account will revert back to a Yola Free account.

* All sites will become unpublished. As Yola Free only allows 5 sites to be published, you will need to choose which 5 sites you wish have published.
* If you are using a premium style credit and you try to publish, you will be prompted to buy or use a free style.
* The Yola Link will reappear.
* Premium Phone and Premium Email support will not longer apply.

As the day approaches to releasing the new Yola Silver, we may make some changes but we will keep you updated.

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further questions, please let me know.

I think it's important to note that this represents a major change in Yola policy. Less than one year ago, I asked the exact same question and was told that all of a user's sites would remain intact even if the subscription was not renewed. Now we are told that the number will be severely cut back. Big, big difference!!

Hi Keara

We appreciate your comments. You are correct in saying that the sites will remain in tact if the subscriptions are not renewed. We will not remove or delete any of the sites that are already in the account.

With the new Yola Silver package, this remains exactly the same as it does now. However, if you do not renew your subscription your account will revert to a Yola Free account, which means that you will only be able to publish 5 of your sites. Same as now, so it will not be any different from what it is now.

I hope that clears up any misunderstanding. If you are unsure about any of the features, please let us know.

Happy Holidays!

When I asked this question, less than one year ago, I received the following answer from a Yola representative:

"You will not lose your sites but if you would want to create more you will have to delete some or buy Yola Pro again."

There is nothing here about published vs. unpublished. Just that you won't lose your sites. Now we clearly will lose our sites, in every meaningful sense of the word, unless we renew.

There has clearly been a big change in policy. And it's obvious that Yola intends to be a very different company in the future than it has been in the past.

Hi Keara

It is true that Yola's products and services are still maturing. I am sorry that the answer you received a year ago did not distinguish between created and published sites. This was unintentional, but nevertheless the distinction should have been made clearly. No one's Yola Silver accounts have expired yet, and we have put considerable thought into what it would mean when someone allows their subscription to lapse when the time comes. Our business is built on subscriptions and if we are to be able to continue to offer our service it is imperative that people renew their subscriptions.

I think it is completely standard practice that if someone stops paying for a service, they stop receiving that service. However, because Yola offers both free and paid plans this has to be handled in a way that makes sense, both for the company and the customer. We cannot continue providing Silver levels of service to customers who do not renew their subscription, but we don't want to take away their sites or their content. The fairest arrangement we can think of is to allow their users to keep all their sites but only publish the allowed number of sites of a free package (5). This way customers can choose which of their sites they would like to have live on their free package, or they can choose to renew at their convenience and then publish up to 25 sites as before.

I hope I have explained this well. We want to treat all our customers, both free and paid, fairly and with the utmost respect. We want to always allow people to select what account level they want to be at, depending on their needs and ensure that they continue to receive the level of service they have come to expect.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Happy New Year!

When we renew, do we have to pay the higher price or do we keep the original price of our Yola Silver subscription?

Hello anorth1994

If you are an existing Yola Silver, you will get to renew the first year at the original Yola Silver price.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know.
