My colleague in China (at the Dalian Univerisity of Technology) keeps pointing at unaccessibility of my sites and, "although several methods has been used". Other colleagues from EU and Australia do not have any problems. Could you please advise what could be done to resolve this problem?

Hi jana,

We have received reports that the Chinese government has blocked all our hosted sites. The error your colleagues will see is a "network timeout" when you try to access your site. We are not sure why our sites have been blocked, but we know that other similar services (including YouTube and WordPress) have been blocked in the same way.

After making enquiries we are told that we might never get an explanation or a solution. Unfortunately this is all we can tell you, I'm sorry I can't be of more help in this regard.

Hello Ruth. I've noted on 2nd May (2009) 5:40 pm (Australian time) I couldn't access or in Australia.
Also I couldn't access my sites from the Internet in Australia
Please comment what is the reason for this?

Hi Jana. We are very sorry about this. Our hosting provider is having connectivity issues at the moment. See for the latest information. We hope it will all be back to normal soon.

Fantastic news everyone! Our website, site builder and hosted sites are back up and running.

Excellent work by our hosting provider - getting us back in under the given time estimate.

We are so sorry this happened and very happy to be back! We will be keeping an eye on things for some time, but we are cautiously optimistic that this problem is behind us.
