I've built my own Contact form using HTML to E-mail me from my website. I'm just wondering, is there a way to use, say, CC or something to send an acknowledgement/thank you message automatically to posters?
The website is http://www.thegoodolddays.yolasite.com
Any suggestions welcome.

Hi Phil,

It's called an auto responder. There's a lot of references to this on searches but I really don't know what would be applicable for your form.

I use a different approach: Jotform.

Thanks Gop.
I'll see what I can find about autoresponders on the net. Maybe W3schools will have something.

Finally decided I could achieve what I wanted just by changing settings on my e-mail service, to send auto-receipt. But then I realized that even spam mail would get a receipt - not good ! So, if anyone's thinking of using this method think carefully. You can set it to send receipts only to your contacts list members, so you could examine the sender first then if happy, add them to a contact list.
Thanks for the advice Gop.
