I want to put a Facebook and Twitter icon on the left hand side of my site with links to those sites. This part I think I will be OK in doing. What I don't understand is how to have them appear on every page of my site.

You can add those in the header( site Settings > header tracking), footer (Site settings > footer tracking) or banner section but not easily in the body section.

Add the HTML code into the header tracking. Please try it on a test SITE first as it can easily crash your site because there is no error capture or detection in these parts of your site.

This is the site I am working on:

http://www.sirensong.ca/

I can put the twitter and Facebook icons right above the Nav bar where the heading area is. What HTML code would I use so that the two clickable icons appear in the heading section?

If you are getting the icons from FB & Twitter then often the HTML is complete so you would just plug the snippets in. Don't forget a trial site before hand.

If they are 3rd party icons then:
<a href="URL"><img src="image.png" alt="alt text" style="border:none;" /></a>

Hello Randy,

Try this you can change numbers at (bottom: 0px; right: 2px) to move it up or down. and remember to put it in footer or header.

<div style="position: fixed; bottom: 0px; right: 2px;"><a href="Add your Facebook link here" title="Write your title here"><img style="border: medium none; width: 131px; height: 36px;" alt="Facebook logo" src="Add your Facebook logo"></a></div>

And change width: 131px; height: 36px; to your logo's size. I hope this helped you.
