Hey,

I just tried to add a small google links ad to the bottom of my blog posts but when I click ok and save it does nothing and the code is gone? Is this a security thing with not allowing javascript in blog posts?

Thanks,
Connor

Connor - i have never tried to add adsnse to a actual post - i think ive seen it done. Remember you can only add 3 google ad's to 1 page.

I have my add's on the right side of the page not in the posts themselves.

Sorry i couldnt help more - someone will know - Peter knows alot about blog posts.

(at least ive bumped you back up the list - maybe it will catch someones eye :)

Lee.

PS - i have some paid (not well paid, but paid) work i might be able to pass your way soon. I'll let you know at the time - Lee.

Thanks,

It's only inside the blog posts because I can add it outside the blog (I've only got 1 ad on that page).

Yes, you can place Google Adsense code separately on a blogpage, but not inside an actual post. The blogpost editor is very restricted in what HTML and Javascript you can add, unlike the HTML widget.

Connor,

Having Adsense all over your blog may not be beneficial to you anyway. Personally, when I see Adsence ads all over every page, I get turned off from the site. It says to me...this site cares more about ads and less about quality content or an aesthetically pleasing user experience. Some ads are fine, too many can be distracting.

Hi Dom,

Yeah I know what you are saying, I am the same, I leave straight away. I was just trying to test different advertising and see which converts the best. You see I have one skyscraper ad at the right of the page, and that's all. I was considering taking it out and adding small link units at the end of every post and would blend it in with the other text, No big bold colours! Thanks for your feedback.
