Try this code:

<!--<div style="width:281px;height:211px;border:2px solid orange;">Text</div>-->

You can change the width, height, border to your preference. You can use Hex numbers as well for color.. be sure to add the #. Take out the <!-- -->

Here's a thread for further info if you want:

Hey Donald,
Add a html widget and paste the following code:

<!--
<div style="width:281px;height:211px;border:2px solid #FF5200;">Text here</div>-->

Mess around with the width,height,border and colour to suit your needs. Add your text in the 'text here' area.

Here's a code
Border starts here!
<!--
<div style="width:281px;height:211px;border:2px solid #FF5200;">Text here</div>-->
Border ends here!
To customize the border notice "border:2px" right beside solid # to customize just edit the px number.

Good Luck!

yea, that's not the easiest way to do it... if you want to make a border, just do it in MS Word and then copy and paste.

Hi Donald,
I need to advise you that when you copy and paste rich text directly from MS Word onto your site, this brings along a whole lot of unwanted formatting that is not web friendly and can easily break your page.

It can also cause your site to show up inconsistently in different browsers. The problem might not always show up immediately, but sometimes it happens after you save and navigate to a different page or log out and log in again.

To avoid display and loading issues, the best alternative is first to paste your text into NotePad (in the accessories folder of your computer) and then paste it as plain text onto your Yola page. You can then use the Yola text editor to format your text as desired.

it would take a long time to edit it through Yola. first, you have to do each widget individually. Second, things such as "justify" text which I insist on using you would have to go into each html to do whereas copying it and pasting it from word you can edit the whole page and then just copy and paste sections into text widgets. There are also more formatting options on MS Word than on Yola. In order to make all the options available directly from Yola, you'd have to edit each text html individually.

and I preview my pages prior to deciding if it looks good... and then after I publish my site, I double check it... Although it may change things up copying and pasting from Word... I make it fit to Yola's perimeter. I believe it looks good.

plus border options are easier bc... the code provided above is of certain dimensions... to change it up, you'd have to know the dimensions... that's a pain... plus changing the color, thickness of the border s still more of a pain then highlighting the text and clicking on the border you want, the color you want, the thickness you want, style you want.

yep... and you notice where it says width and height? You have to know what size to put in there to change the size of the area.... pain in the butt... MS Word is the easiest way to do it, plus it offers more options than the code allows.

I did find that hard to figure Donald. I don't have MS Word but I have a program called OpenOffice. If you know of OO do you know if it would do the same as MS Word? Seems it would and I guess the smartest thing to do is try it out. So then I would just insert those "boxes" as images. What about sizing them for text or images? Denise PS Maybe you put the image or text in before you save the final image in Word, then, insert whole thing?

Hi All, I hope this thread is still active so I don't have to post another thread. I want to put a border at the top of each html, image, text box in my page. I don't want a color and do see the codes in order to do them that way. My question is how to insert the URL of the image I want as my top border for each box, into that code?

Thank you all in advance, denise;) PS below is my image for border:

<!-- <a href="http://s3.amazonaws.com/satisfaction-... src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/satisfaction-..." alt="" /></a> -->
