I need to add a disclaimer at the bottom of my site. I'm using a free template, and the layout design is 1 horizontal box across the top and 2 divided text boxes below it. I would like to add a page footer or another long horizontal text box at the very bottom of the site but when I try and drag a text widget there it won't accept it. Is this possible?

Hello Valerie,
If you are using the layout of one row above and two columns below it won't allow you to drag a text box the entire length of the page underneath the two columns; you would have to drag the text widget into one of the columns.

What I would suggest that you do is switch to the single column layout (just one big editable area) then you will be able to use the Two Column Widget (which is located on the Content Sidebar) if you would like to divide the page. You will also be able to drag a Text Widget beneath the two column widget or above it. Doing it this way is a little less limiting. To change to a single column layout just click on Change Layout.

If you have any further questions about this please let us know.

Kind Regards,
