Adding a synthasite link to my index page

So I add a synthasite link on the bottom of my index page and now my buttons below are all underlined in blue and I have have done everything imaginable to get them to go away. The one on the index page it the very same as all the other pages and they are not underlined in blue.

So sad... I tried to be nice and the system didn't seem to enjoy it.

Any ideas?

Hi mredsayshi - could be the HTML you added to the page that's making this happen. You're welcome to send an email to Support from inside the Site Builder so that we can take a look. (click on Help > contact Support)

But if it is the same HTML as all 15 pages then why only on the front page???

I seem to think its something else

I'll give it another look see and then send them the code but as it is a holiday tomorrow I don't know how fast they will reply

aha and it is the exact same word for word and bear for bear from one page to the next... Nothing is different.

It only changed after I put in the Synthasite stuff

Funny huh

Ok - it is something to do with the CSS of the style sheet, but I couldn't find out where it is coming from. I can tell you how to do a manual fix however. Each of those button links has HTML that looks like this:
<!-- <a href="index.php"><span style="color: yellow;">Home</span></a> -->

In that code you need to include the following: style='text-decoration: none;'

So that the code now looks like this:

<!-- <a href="index.php"style='text-decoration: none;'><span style="color: yellow;">Home</span></a> -->

(Without the <! -- and the -- >, of course)

Not the most elegant solution, but I hope it helps.

okay then well what can I say but I got another one for you guys to remember for the future...

kinda thought something like that would have worked but well when I tried it... oddly it only worked for 75% of them and not the last 3

looked here and there and was dumbfounded... tried it like 10 times and 100 inserts of the snippet of code and was thinking I missed something and well I didn't until I realized that yes that fix does keep the blue underline from occurring in some but not all...

You see when I named my site pages the system named them as follows:

About me= About_me
Photo album= Photo_album
Custom playhomes= Custom_playhomes
Pricing= Pricing
Spec sheet= Spec_sheet
Contact me= Contact_me
Write to Mr Honeypot= Write_to_Mr_Honeypot
Childrens furniture= childrens-furniture
Play structures= play-structures

The three listed below did not find the code you listed to add very friendly and no change occurred. I wonder if you see the difference???

Write to Mr Honeypot= Write_to_Mr_Honeypot
Childrens furniture= childrens-furniture
Play structures= play-structures

For some reason the code snippet does not like multiple ( _ )’s or the use of ( - ) anywhere within the name of the page.

Odd that such a thing would affect it and I don’t know for the life of me just how that happened but I suppose I will just rename the pages and change the links but I really will use that for a last resort. I think I will simply generate some buttons or navbar but I really liked the look of the red box like that... That’s for later and I think I can live with it for a few days at the most.

What I find most peculiar is that the system only has issues with the difference on the Index page and no others... Very strange indeed...

I thank you for you hard work the other day and hope all is well with you and yours...

Mr. Ed
