how can i add alt text to flash. I know how to add to the code i just don't know what code to add. The reason i want to do this is because when you access my site through a mobile phone you don't get the flash player, would alt text work in this situation to show what should be there? and could i somehow make it so it was a link like the flash file would be if it was properly shown.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi lee

I have been looking into this and it seems like there isn't an alt attribute for flash.

You could try wrapping your flash embed code in the following tag:
<!-- <a href="." alt="text here">flash embed here</a> -->

(leave out the <! -- and the -- > and replace "text here" with your alt text and "flash embed here" with your flash code.

Give it a try and let me know how it turns out.

This is a known issue with mobile devices, so most mobile users will be aware that flash elements do not display.
