You can easily add a game to your site with a widget from one of the great widget galleries we have integrated with (Google Gadgets, Widgetbox, Spring Widget etc.)

In the widgets folder on the right hand side of the screen, drag and drop the icon for one of these widget galleries onto your page.

A dialog will open up - click on the link and you will be take to the widget gallery.

Browse for the game you want and when you are done click an option that will allow you to copy the HTML code for the widget. This will be something like "get widget," "copy code" or "embed," depending on which service you are using.

Copy the code and paste it into the dialog box in SynthaSite.

That's it! A game will appear on your SynthaSite page!

Hi Ray

You get answers by asking a question. What is your question? Very often someone else might have the same question and by asking it you not only help yourself, but you help them as well!

Hope to hear from you soon

Hi bri

Are you referring to the games available from Widget Box? If so this would explain why the choice might be a bit limited, but widget galleries grow their selection all the time.

You can do some searching on the net and if you can find a game with embed code you can add it to your site by pasting the code into the HTML editor in SynthaSite. This should give you a wider selection!

I am directing you to third party services which you can integrate into your site. I am therefore not in a position to say why only a handful of games don't have pop up windows in which you play the game. If you would like more options like this, I think it would be a great idea to contact the services you have looked at and ask them. I am sure they would appreciate the feedback.

Hi,

If you want to add games to your site then I highly reccommend MiniClip..

This is easy to do:

1. Add a new page to your site, give it a title.. e.g. "Games Room"

2. Drag the HTML widget onto your page, then when the HTML editor opens, delete what is there already.

3. Click the "Add to website or Blog" at the bottom..

4. Scroll down until you can see "Copy" click that
5. Now paste it onto your page HTML

I put this on my site just to check it works, and it does!

If you have any problems, reply to this, and I will try to help:)

Excellent tip! Thank you. We get a lot of users wanting to add games to their sites, so I am sure this will help a lot of people.

When you paste HTML code, Get Satisfaction interprets it instead of just displaying it, which is why the code paste didn't work. Essentially it works just like the HTML editor in SynthaSite! To "trick" the system, do it like this:

<!--
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/..." width="640" height="480">
<param name="menu" value="false" />
<param name="movie" value="http://www.miniclip.com/swfcontent/fr... Slide&icon=%2Fimages%2Ficons%2Ficeslidemedicon.jpg&w=640&h=480" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<embed src="http://www.miniclip.com/swfcontent/fr... Slide&icon=%2Fimages%2Ficons%2Ficeslidemedicon.jpg&w=640&h=480" menu="false" quality="high" width="640" height="480" name="miniclipGame"
-->

And then when you copy and paste the code for real, just make sure you leave out the <! -- and the -- >

I started an online game site that you can reach at http://gamedemon.org
( http://gamedemon.syntahsite.com ).

Under each game is the html code for the game. Maybe you'll find something you like.

Most online game sites offer the html code for their games; like freeonlinegames.com and miniclip.com for example

Thanks for wanting to help, but actually this thread is from a while ago. Game Demon Arcade is now run on an actual arcade script. Meaning of course that I had to find a host that offers MySQL and FTP. You can see the new site at http://www.gamedemonarcade.com. Also, since I'm on this topic, My current project is called Instant Arcade at http://gamedemon.org (again, not something that can be hosted on Synthasite) I'm in the process of creating a code that will let any webmaster put an arcade with over 100 games on their site just by adding one line of code. Expect that to be released this week. I just finished creating the code and am now working on the website. You can see a demo at http://www.gamedemon.org/demo.php.

Hello my friend, adding games are easy, you dont have to just have widgets, they can look very unprofesional, take a look at my site

http://mp3music.dj

and check out the games section, they are cool, if you want to use the games just download the files and add them to your site...its easy.

Hi eggrol, you have to type all those things to get a game because your computer needs to know what code to use. Give it a go, using the widgets isn't that hard. I've given you instructions on your other thread for adding games.

I am sure people would like to check out your site. Why don't you post the URL (website address) so that people can pay you a visit?

Try clicking anywhere on the game itself before playing the game. If that doesn't work please provide a link so I can see if there is a problem.
