Hi I set my website site up 2 months ago with your freewebsite builder but have now purchased the domain name through yola but when trying to verify with google the process was simple before but now they asking for me to add the TXT record to the DNS configuration which i cannot find how to do this
original URL http://daviesandsonsbuildingmaintenan... now I have purchased the domain name it is www.daviesbuilderfix.co.uk
I thought purchasing the domain name was going to make things easier but now i am worried i have made the wrong choice

Thanks

Hi, Julie,

The TXT record needs to be added manually, can you please send us an email at support@yola.com with the TXT record and our DNS team will get that fixed up for you. Please allow 48 hours after you send the information for a response.

Hello Julz

Thanks for sending the email Julie. One of our reps will follow up with you. As for your links, if you had any links going to your old domain, then you will need to update your links. Also, if you have verified with Google Webmaster, Google Analytics, etc.. you will need to re-verify your new domain.

Hi
The TXT has been done, and I have just verified it with Google and everything is fine.
On webmaster tools do I delete the old subdomain ? http://daviesandsonsbuildingmaintenan...
or I have read somewhere that I need to do a "change of address" on google but not sure how

Thanks

Hello Julz

What you need to do is remove the original Google Webmaster meta tag that you put into your home page and go back through the Google Webmaster tutorial for the new custom domain you have now published to. Here is a link to the tutorial: Google Webmaster Tutorial.
