Hi Mick,

Can you be a little more specific?

Where are you getting your videos from?

Actually, to tell you the truth. No matter where you get your videos from, if the embed code contains an advertisement in it it is most likely impossible or against TOS of that site to modify the embed code.

I hope this helps

Gamedemon is correct,

If the embed code has an advertisement then it is not possible to modify the code.

I'm sorry I don't have better news for you.

What about a video player like Quick Play or Windows Media Player? Does anyone know how to add this player to site as a link and then direct it to play your own media?

Hi Mick,

Have you uploaded the mp3 or music file, you would like to play on your page onto your SynthaSite, by using the File Manager button at the top of your page?

1. In the Widgetbox dialogue box, once you have selected the Google Audio widget, click on 'Settings'
2. Change the url to something like: http ://mysite.synthasite.com/resources/song.mp3
- Where 'mysite' is the name of your published site
- And song.mp3 is the name of the music file you've uploaded and would like to hear
- Remember to include any folder names in the file path if your file is stored in a folder in the File Manager. For example: "resources/Music/song.mp3"
3. Republish your site for the changes to occur live on the internet.

We don't currently have a tool that allows you to upload your video and play it on your SynthaSite. But I can suggest an alternative: upload your video onto another website like Youtube or Google Video and then add one of those widgets to your page on SynthaSite and browse for your uploaded video.

To add a video to your page, follow these few simple steps:

1. Open the "video" folder on the right hand side of the screen and drag and drop a Google Video, Metacafe or YouTube icon onto your page.
2. In the properties sidebar on the right, click on the "browse" link.
3. Browse Google Video, Metacafe or YouTube for the video you want to embed in your site.
4. Copy the URL for the video from your browser window.
5. Paste the URL over the default URL in the properties sidebar in SynthaSite. Hit "Enter" and then click "Apply".

Your video will then be embedded in your web page.

I don't, but I'd be interested to hear if some other SynthaSiters have found an alternative.

Hello Hillery

If you wish, you can try using a different service such as Vimeo to host your video. This way you will not see any ads.

Visit vimeo.com and choose the video you would like to add to your Yola site. Then follow these steps:

1. Click on the "embed" button. A dialog box will open with code that you can copy (copy it by using Ctrl-C or right-click > copy).
2. Back on your site, drag and drop an HTML Widget (the icon for this is a blue sphere) from the Sidebar on the right onto your page.
3. An HTML Editor will open up that will allow you to write or paste your code (use right-click > paste or Ctrl-V to paste).
4. When you are done, click "Save" and you will see the video appear on your page.

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further questions, please let me know.
