Some of the items in my store require an additional freight charge. How do i add this when something is purchased. also what about taxes? isnt the tax rate different for each state? How much of an increase should i put on my products so that i include tax?

Hello Savannah,
The Online Store widgets on SynthaSite currently don't have a feature where you can include tax, shipping etc. We are hoping to add more functionality to the PayPal widgets in the future.

If you would like to add this feature to your site, you can customize the buttons on PayPal.com, copy the embed code and add it to your site using the HTML widget. You can find more information on this link: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_wp-standard-feature-list-outside#inventory.

No it won't replace the buttons, you will have to add them using an html widget. Here are instructions:
1. Visit this link: PayPal.com
2. Customize the buttons you would like to use.
3. Copying the HTML code provided.
4. Back on your site, drag-and-drop an HTML widget from the sidebar on the right onto your page (the icon for this is a blue sphere).
5. An HTML editor will open up that will allow you to write or paste your code (use right-click > paste or ctrl-V to paste).
6. When you are done, click "OK" and you will see the way that the HTML displays on your page.

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Check with your CPA concerning your items....You might be fine not charging sales tax other than for items you ship directly from your place of business to end users within your state.

I would agree with John that this is probably a question for your CPA. This person may be better able to give you the specific laws that relate to charging tax.

I am a drop shipper also and I do not charge sales tax...Still check with your accountant because some states are different. All states require that you have your resale certs though and your supplier will want that also so you will not be charged tax .It is all just one of those things as far as tax laws that is all over the place....That is why I say check with a CPA they will know the laws in your state...I am assuming you are in the USA.
