There are WYSIWYG sites that charge or take a percentage of adsense income. Does sythasite? Is there a difference in SEO with synthasite websites?

Hi Todd,

This is something that people often ask, so I'm going to quote our CEO, Vinny, here:

"The revenue is all yours as long as you put your own code on the site from your own account that you setup.

We are looking to release an integrated process later this year, where we will take a small percentage for people who would like to use our advanced AdSense setup tools. This is one of the ways that we will make money with SynthaSite - however we won't prevent you from using your own account code and keeping all the profits if you prefer."

SEO with SynthaSite is the same as SEO with other sites, we have a number of threads related to SEO in this forum. Here is a link to one that immediately springs to mind:

Please let us know if you have more questions.

Hi Todd,

We like to say it's easy!

You visit the Google Adsense site ( to register and get all the information you need for your Ads.

Then, you can add the Google AdSense widget:
1. Open the Advertising folder and drag and drop the Adsense widget onto your page
2. A dialogue box will open - you can either click on the link in the dialog box to sign up for an Adsense account, or if you have already registered and customised your ad, copy the advertising code Google provided by Google
4. Paste the code back in the dialogue box on your SynthaSite
5. Click ok!

Please remember that you might not see the ad immediately, it can take a short while for it to be initialised by Google.

Good luck!

Does having these ads help the webite with traffic? I sometimes find these ads annoying and can take away some of the credibilty of the website. What is your experience?

Hi Todd.

My understanding is that adsense is most successful when you place it on a site with plenty of good content that is already attracting significant traffic. If I were building a site this is what I would do:
1) I would decide on a clear purpose for my site (what niche I am going to appeal to)
2) I would put plenty of excellent content on my site that would be valuable to the people who are going to visit.
3) I would work on ways to attract traffic to my site.
4) Only when the other steps were complete would I consider implementing ways to make money from my site. One option I would consider is Google Adsense. I would place this on my site discretely and not overdo it. The more content you have on your site, the more relevant the ads will be. If you have already established your credibility then adsense will not detract from it.
