Hi Craig,

It's not possible to upload an HTML file to Yola as these files are restricted due to security reasons.

Does Alertpay offer a different method of verification?

I believe it does but I don't know whether that would affect if i can put the alert pay status at the bottom for example.

Can you post a link to their site or paste their instructions so that we can check them out for you? I'm not familiar with AlertPay's setup at all.

Hi
This is what alertpay says:

Step 1: Validate Website
There are only two steps left! Just upload the confirmation file and complete the questionnaire. A decision will be rendered shortly.

1. Download the confirmation file
2. Upload this confirmation file to your root directory: http://www.angelaspencer.biz/alertpay...
3. Click "Next"

Hello smillajasperson,
Unfortunately it is not possible to upload a file into the root directory of your site. What I would suggest is that you submit a support request to them and ask if there is another option available, they may have another way to verify. If you would like to show us the answer they give you we can let you know if their other options are possible.

I think others here use Alert Pay so there must be a way around this....Maybe start a new thread asking if others here use Alert Pay and ask for help setting it up.

I do not remember what I had to do, but I think just answering the questions to prove it is your site was enough. I did not set the file to my sites, as it cannot be done. I will look into how I got around the file upload and get back to you.

Well, as far as I can remember, I answered the question for e-mail checkout. I may have stated that I did not own the site, as Yola really owns them anyway. I do remember sending many e-mails to them to get action also.

Perhaps this would be an alternative solution. You could add Alertpay buttons. There is detailed information on adding AlertPay buttons on this link. Once you have created your account and customized the buttons you would like to add to your site, follow these steps:

1. Copy the HTML code provided by AlertPay.
2. On Yola, drag and drop an "HTML" widget onto your page.
3. Paste the HTML code into the editor that opens and click on "OK".

You will see an AlertPay button appear on the page. You can test it by updating your site, visiting the page and clicking on the button. You will be able to manage your payments in your AlertPay account.
