If you need support from Yola please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org or make use of our live chat service! We are working on a new approach to community-based support and during this transition period we are not adding any new threads to this forum. Many thanks to everyone who has participated over the years and we look forward to unveiling a new peer-to-peer support system soon!
I've added alternative text to my images and made sure to publish my site but when I look at my site in a new tab and hover my mouse over the images the text doesn't show up. If you need my site address, it is http://www.farragio.com
Alternative text is meant for people who turn off images in their browsers and search engines. Internet Explorer shows it as hover text (which is technically incorrect); Firefox does not show it as hover text. Firefox will show the Title attribute as hover text but this will need to be added with a bit of code. If you want to show it in Firefox, you must use the Text Widget and not the Picture Widget.
1) Drag and Drop a Text Widget on your page. 2) Click on Insert Image. 3) Add the image. 4) Click on the blue rectangle marked HTML. 5) Find the code for the image. It will look something like: <p><img style="margin: 4px; padding: 0px;" src="resources/200px-Crystal_Clear_action_bookmark_blue.svg.png?timestamp=1309488807184"> </p>
6) Add the alt and title attributes so it looks something like: <p><img style="margin: 4px; padding: 0px;" src="resources/200px-Crystal_Clear_action_bookmark_blue.svg.png?timestamp=1309488807184"; alt="Star"; title="Star"> </p> 7) Save and Publish.
Please let us know if you have any trouble with this.
