Hi, I can't get an Amazon store widget or direct link to a product on Amazon to appear on my site. I have a Amazon store set-up and would like to link directly to it.

Here is the code for a book I would like to appear in the right hand menu of my site:
<!--<a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/18... border="0" src="512S%2BgXlBtL._SL110_.jpg"></a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/e/ir?t=..." width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /a>-->

Or a more complex widget which will pull items from my store:
<!--<script type="text/javascript"><!--
amazon_ad_tag="wwwtacticsand-21";
amazon_ad_width="180";
amazon_ad_height="150";
amazon_color_background="FDFDF9";
amazon_color_border="E5E7EB";
amazon_color_logo="FD0808";
amazon_color_link="BB1A00";
amazon_ad_logo="hide";
amazon_ad_title="Tactics and Cunning Amazon Store"; //-->
"-->

When I enter this into the HTML editor and place it on the site nothing appears only a small grey box which seems to link back to Amazon, you can see it under "link to recommended websites"

My site is not published but can be found on this link: http://sitebuilder.yola.com/sites/D6d...

Hello Jamie

The code for your book does not appear to be correct. Can you please double-check this code?

As for your more complex widget, it seems that you're missing a closing script tag at the end of your code: </script>

Please let me know how this goes.

Thanks for the reply

The code was copied from the Amazon associates site and works well on another website, I usually use this code with is slightly different:

<!--<iframe src="http://rcm-uk.amazon.co.uk/e/cm?t=www..." style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0"></iframe>-->

This does not work either.

I have added the closing as suggested but with no luck, also moved to using IE8 to see if there was a difference but nothing happened.

Any more ideas?

Hello Jamie

I was able to use the iframe code on my test site. I've attached a screenshot of what I see when I added the code. Does this look right to you?

How are you adding your code? Is it through an HTML Widget?

Hey Jamie - I'm wondering whether you had to enter your site's URL when creating the ad. As your site's not published, perhaps that's not why it's not displaying?

The code has been added correctly - if that's all the code that Amazon provided. I did try and take a look at the image URL and it goes to a blank page - could that be the problem?

Can I ask is the test site a Yola site with the HTML editor?

I have now published the site and added the website URL to the Amazon store but the URL's don't actually reference my sites they only reference the Amazon store name or code so any clicks are tracked correctly.

The images still don't show, I will try again in the morning!

Hi Jamie - I was testing the first set of code you provided. The second set (the iframe code) does work on one of my test sites and your site. Would you like me to add it to your page for you?

Remember not to include <!-- and --> when pasting your code into the HTML Widget...

Hello Jamie

I have added the iframe code you gave us into your Sitebuilder and on your SA-Resources page. I have not yet updated your site - you will need to do this to apply the changes made.

Please let us know if you have any further trouble with this.

Ok, its all sorted! Thanks for your help.

I hadn't realised that I had an ad blocker running which was blocking the adverts!
