Ok, the site theme that I'm using, it has a blue bar for the menu headings, well since it makes the titles so big, it has to put some under the blue bar, now the problem with this is that that space under the blue bar is white, which is the same color as the titles, so you can't see them. Take a look http://tutoringinc.synthasite.com/ I don't want to start this all over with a different theme.

Hi juanb

Sadly you have exceeded the amount of pages the style you have chosen can handle in its horizontal menu. If you were to change Styles to a vertical menu this would solve your problem. If you intend to include pages in the future it would be wise to make the change over to another style while you have a hand full of page instead of 20 or more.

Rest assured that your information and images will still be there when you change to a different style but you may have some shifting of your previous placement and will need to adjust the content to your liking. One thing which will change from style to style will be the banner.

Here is a post for style data.

http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...

f the banner image of a certain style can be changed, you will see a white box with an instruction placed over the default banner image.

To change the banner image:
1) Click on the white instruction box that says "click here to change banner image"
2) The file manager will open up that will allow you to browse your computer for a picture to upload.
3) When you are done, click "ok" and your own image will replace the default image
4) If the dimensions are not quite right you can fix this by choosing the "edit with Picnik" option in the file manager. Picnik is a web-based image manipulation tool that has an option for you to resize your image. When you are done, click "save to SynthaSite" and the new image will replace the old one.

Please note that the white instruction box will only appear in editing mode, and will disappear when you preview or publish your site. Also, you may use the default banner image if you wish.

Please let us know if you need any other help!

Well, your menu looks perfect from my Internet Explorer 7 Beta. Are you using Firefox? About half of the flash widgets I have on my page work with firefox. And no updates will solve it. So, I went back to my Internet Explorer. Not sure that will help you, but if you have IE give it a try.

Hi there... Glad you double checked that for juanb but if you were to return to the page you would see that the extra buttons have white text which matches the background and once clicked on turn black.

Kind of fools the eye and it even took me a couple of clicks under the menu to catch it... ;)

Hi juanb,

You can change styles without losing data, and as ed has suggested, it may be worth your while changing to one with a vertical menu if you have lots of pages.

Just one small thing, are you aware that tutoring is misspelled in your website title? There are two ways you can edit the title of your page:
1. Click on the title - a dialogue box will open where you can edit the text
2. Click on Properties on the right-hand sidebar and you can edit the text under "Page Heading"

Ohhhhh!!! Yes, I see what you mean now Ed. I had no idea there were other links under the blue navigation bar. That really is a problem for sure. She may need to use that submenu if she wants to keep that style. I saved the url because I want to add a submenu also. If you want to check it out, juanb > http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...

Thanks for all the help Ed, I found a way to get around my problem, I took the us out of contact us, and it made room for another menu title.

Now I have something else to ask, is there anyway to move a photo up or down a few inches? For example look at the home page on my site
http://tutoringinc.synthasite.com/ I want to move the photo that is up under the logo down to the same level as the photo next to it.

Thanks

Glad you got that figured out... Good job

As to your something else...
Easy question...
Easy answer...

Several options

1) Drag a text widget between the logo and the image
2) Click once within the text widget to remove the temporary text
3) Hit "Enter" a few times
4) Click "Update" and look in your browser to see your changes

Add as many lines as necessary to achieve your desired look.

But what you may wish to do instead is drag a two column widget and split the text and the logo in the first two column widget and the images in the second. This will ensure that the images are always the same level

Happy site building

Hey Ed, I tried that, but when I hit enter one time, the photo goes down to far. That's the one thing I don't understand about this site, and that is how come you can't just move your photos up and down with the arrow keys. So now I'm not sure what to do.

I believe that it sounds like you are clicking right before the image and as the image is comparable in height to a font of 300 or greater that your one click relates to 30 normal font size clicks. So that would explain a huge space with only one click of your mouse.

If you could place one two column widget on top of another two column widget and a single text widget on the bottom and drag your page content as I have demonstrated in the included image then your problems will be no more... ;)

It really is quite simple once you have gotten the hang of it and in no time at all you will be tutoring the new members here in the forums on how you have done something within your site...

Let me know if the description helped...
