Hello Dan,

These comments are directed at your content presentation and not specifically at your site design.

One of the strong points of your site is the catalogue of images, on your various product pages. They are of good quality and clarity. The presentation in a column, in effect, is very good. I would do 2 things to pique this :
  1. make your images the same width, variation in height is not important. Consistency is attractive.
  2. vertically align them on the page.
Your description text is perfect and clearly complements the associated image.

Your index page is uncluttered and has the information relevant to your site. I would bullet the categories and ensure that your location stands apart rather than being a continuation of your categories. A question that came early to my mind is: "Where is Hove?": UK, SA, Australia, USA?, it's discoverable, certainly, on your site subsequently but may be an advantage to snap that in within that description. Instant awareness is a plus!

Once you set a page up, check it again with a mobile device or a mobile simulator to see how it looks for such users. Particularly phones and phablets.

If your navigation is complete and won't increase with additional categories it is fine. If , however, you plan to add additional categories then it is worth considering drop-down navigation for your product categories, as the navigation may become unwieldy.

There is little information for your SEO to be effective.

I think you need to add specific details to your object's descriptions. Images don't really convey much in the SEO stakes. Your images will grab a peruser's attention but only when they get there. You need to draw them to your products with clear descriptions with terms a searcher uses to find specific treasures.

SEO is most effectively levered by good and compelling descriptive content and your content is your amazing products. I'm sure you and your collectors could give detailed talks on such objects. You need to preempt some of that. How many physical browsers in your shop ask you "...what is that?" or "I'm looking for...". There's a good lesson for SEO there.
