Ariel Black won't come back, jack. Need a new plan, stan.

I recently gave in and installed the newest version of fire fox. Every time I give them another chance, I am disappointed. Again.

This version (13.0) does not show Ariel Black - neither in the site builder's text edit menu, or on my published site.

Just happens to be every one of my headers, making my pages look bad.

Is there an older version recommended that is most compatible with Yola?
Is FF still the preferred browser for the site builder?
Does anyone else have FF13 and Ariel Black on their site, with the same problem?

I also have constant issues with having to refresh within Yola to make edits, (such as: blocks of existing text or existing pix can not be moved on the page) and I'm thinking it is browser related.

Hello Guido,

FF is the most preferred browser but Chrome is a close runner.

Interesting observation on Arial Black because it's considered a Safe-font meaning it's commonly installed on the majority of computers so why it's not a selection is a surprise to me. I just presumed that it would be but looking through my sites I haven't specifically used it.

You could include:
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
in your CSS to force it back in. You shouldn't need to add it as a custom font for your sites.

I'm not experiencing the refresh issue for text editing as you have described but I do frequently clear the FF browser cache as a standard process and wonder if this in fact is correcting the potential that you are describing.

I find FF heavier than Chrome but a little more predictable at times. For sitebuilding I use FF and for browsing I use Chrome but rarely have I looked at this systematically.

What browser have you used mostly?

FF for building, but I had a way older release. just yesterday made the mistake of taking the upgrade. chrome for web and previews. just deleted ff13, so now it's for everything.

I have the font. it shows in chrome both in the builder and published.
Shows in neither in FF.

Can you please look at my site and see if you see the font in FF?

Very first headers on page 1, under the carousel should be ariel black.

Looks fine to me and I am the latest version of FF. I also tried the Arial Black on one of my test sites and all worked well.

If I recall you have had a lot of problems with FF over the years. I had a few also since version 3 came out. My main issue was png files looking awful on FF and the color would be incorrect. I finally fixed it...That problem vanished when I got my new computer last year. I really think FF can have an issue with ones computer as the same png files would look fine on Chrome and IE.

Isn't FF13 still a Beta version? I'm using FF12, and all fonts work as designed.

By the way, Yola has changed their order of recommended browsers, so Chrome comes first now, and then Firefox. ;-)

Good to know. Thanks. How anyone can keep up with FF versions manually is beyond my understanding. I couldn't with chrome either but you just don't even consider the Chrome version, it just rolls out and on.
