Stefan et al.

'Aviary' is not a patch on 'Picnic' that it replaced. Both myself and an I.T. Whizz (like yourselves !) have uploaded and converted new and used photos via Aviary and it stalls everytime. By chance when we return to the Yola homepage and back again do we occasionally get the page...is this common?

We are at the stage whereby the photos may have to be edited away from Aviary by our computers instead, but at least it's reliable.

Otherwise OK. Thanks, Andrew

Hello Andrew

Unfortunately, we have had to remove the Picnik picture editor from Yola because they have discontinued their service altogether. There is absolutely no way for us to bring it back and add it to our Sitebuilder because it no longer exists. You can read their official announcement here: Official Announcement: Picnik is closing.

Our engineers tested a few online picture editing programs similar to Picnik and decided on Aviary because it integrated into the Yola Sitebuilder well and had a lot of the features of Picnik. I understand that you may feel that the features are not as great as Picnik. However, it has a lot of the features for editing pictures that you would want for a website.

If you are having issues with editing your site in Aviary, please tell us which web browser and version you are using and we can test why it may not be working.

Thank you
Nazlie

Ok Nazlie Thank You.

Actually your engineers may be right for Yola but the editing is currently limited for us.

No worries-the excellent quality otherwise-continues!

Much appreciated with kind regards,

Andrew

I understand Yola makes a lot of money, why not use some of that money to patent a Yola image editor?

An interesting idea and when we are in a position to think about our next start up we may consider it. However, right now we have our hands full (and our money well spent) on developing the Yola sitebuilder. So for now the plan is to keep doing what we do best and integrate with third party services when we are not in a position to offer the service ourselves.
