Hello!
I'm trying to code a back to back stem and leaf plot --- a visual creature from the world of statistics. Essentially, it should look like:
2 2 1 | 1 | 2 3 4 5
0 | 2 | 2 3 3 4
1 1 | 3 | 3 5 6

What needs to happen is 2 vertical lines surrounding the middle 1, 2, 3. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello Eric

You can add vertical lines by inserting a little HTML code. Here's how:

<HR width=1, size=500>

You can change the size to your specification.

I hope that is what you're looking for. Please let me know if it is not.

Sanja,
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, I need to have text on two sides of the vertical line (please take a look at my example above). I tried your suggested code but I'm then unable to put numbers to the left or right. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Eric,
I'll ask Sanja to come and take another look at this when she returns. Thanks for your patience.

Kind Regards,

Hello Eric

Are you wanting the 1, 2, 3 to line up vertically underneath each other with the vertical lines on either side? Perhaps if you have an example I might have a better understanding of what you mean.

Thank you for your patience as we work on this together.
