The picture that I want to add to the top of the website is black. How do I make it so it's a white background so I can see the picture.
I'm trying to replace the current header picture with a different one

I have checked the image you'd like to add to your banner area, and the image has a black background itself. It's not a picture with a transparent background, so there is no black background of your Style which could shine through.
In order to get a different background, you would need to edit the image with an image editor, such as Photoshop. There is a free online tool called Pixlr.com. After editing you can upload your image to your Yola website and add it to the banner area.

I tried to upload your picture for you, but I also experienced problems. My support colleagues gave me a hint: Did you edit your picture using Photoshop? The problem is that the image has a CMYK color mode attached to it – which is not web friendly. You should be able to set your color mode to RGB-16bit. You will then be able to upload it and view it on your site. An easy way to do this is instead of just selecting "save", choose "save for web" in Photoshop. The image will then be automatically saved in the correct format. Let me know how that goes.

Ok, I got it to work using a different way. What I wanted to do to the picture was add an arrow and the Eugenius market name. I did this in Illustrator. That could be the problem. What I ended up doing was adding the arrow and Eugenius Market name in photoshop which did work. I will now go back and look at the way I added the arrow and see what colors were used in Illustrator.
thank you
Mike
