Backup of my website for peace of mind and to help me sleep better

I've been reading other posts on the subject. I remember that you had the option to download the website for those who wanted to take their website somewhere else. But this is not my case, since I need Yola more than pizza (and I love pizza a lot).

In my case I'd like to make regular backup copies of my website. I know you already make that, but you see, I've been working on my website over 10 hours a day for over one year and now this is my source of income, so having a backup copy in my hard disk would help me sleep better.

Taking into account that I might not be the only one, I was wondering, do you have any solution for us?

Hello Jose,

Sadly Yola don't offer this. They are confident that their hosted sites are safe. (Then again so were the Engineers who built the Titanic confident of her safety at sea). I too really wish that this was availlable but it isn't.

There just aren't enough users wanting this facility to make this a users option.

Hello Jose,

Gop is correct in saying that we do not offer any backup facility for our users. However, please do be assured that your site is safe with us. We do multiple back ups of all our site data and we are in a position to restore all our customers sites simultaneously and quickly in the event of something unforseen going wrong; but unfortunately we do not have a way to backup individual sites at this time.

Hey sanja how are you going to tell me that you don't offer individual website backups, while assuring me that you do multiple backups and you can restore my data quickly... have you not seen the news how "The Anonymous hacking group says it has hacked into the website of Israelā€˜s Mossad spy agency, gaining access to top-secret documents." which happened Mar 26, 2013. By now i think everyone has heard of the hacker group anonymous as well as many other hacker "activists groups" that have been gaining access to websites and doing major chaos. so how are you going to tell me that YOLA can stop an intrusion like that? i would like to be able to download all my data. because saying that you have an amazing redundancy system and that you can restore "sites simultaneously" is a very bad network security practice. Please come up with a way to do so. i am a paying customer after all.... why shouldn't i have the comfort to download my data. Like so many other website hosting services offer?

I too would appreciate the facility to backup my website to my local hard-drive. Call me Mr Conservative, but I have an inherent distrust of computer security, especially when someone reassures me that "Nothing can go wrong, go wrong, go wrong...poof!"

What a mess has been created by Yola's latest 'development'! Now is the time when an assurance that Yola will be able to restore our websites to their original state is desperately needed. That is not what I've yet heard from Yola.
