Banner Ad Problem

My friend has a banner ad for her website that I would like to add to mine. She has it saved in a Photobucket account. When I copy the html code, rather than sending me to her website, it sends me to the Photobucket site. She has she has her banner ad on other websites with the same html code and it goes directly to her site. Any ideas if Synthasite requires something else?

Nope, still won't just show the code. What kind of barrier should I put?

I have an idea, click on the link and it will take you to the photobucket site I mentioned. Look at the codes available to copy and you will see the one I chose that is not working correctly. It is under the HTML code option. That should work!

Maybe try using !-- at the beginning and end of your code --! See if that makes a difference...Though make sure the --! is still within each bracket.

Hi L.i.G - if it helps (and for future!) to stop the code from being interpreted, use <!-- and --> on either side

Hi Marije! How you going? Hope you're well. I was wondering about the --> instead of the extra --! Thanks for the heads up.

Now that we see the link does anyone know why it goes to Photobucket and not to the website?

Hi Katie,

The picture goes to the photobucket website because that's the link that has been added to the image. Try these steps:
1. Copy and save the image (try right-clicking and saving) and then upload it to your site
2. Add it to your page using the image widget
3. Click on Properties on the tab on the right
4. Click on 'Choose a Link' and add the URL to your friends site under URL (External).

Hope that helps!
