How do I customize my banner image using photos and images downloaded into my computer? Or if possible what preset page design (For example:Blog, Red planet, etc.) offers the choice of customizable banner images? Is there a banner widget for this particular situtation?

Hi,

SynthaSite offers a selection of styles that allow you to change the banner image. If the banner image can be changed, you will see a white box with an instruction placed over the default banner image.

To change the banner image:
1. Click on the white instruction box that says "click here to change banner image"
2. The file manager will open up that will allow you to browse your computer for a picture to upload
3. When you are done, click "ok" and your own image will replace the default image
4. If the dimensions are not quite right you can fix this by choosing the "edit with Picnik" option in the file manager. Picnik is a web-based image manipulation tool that has an option for you to resize your image. When you are done, click "save to SynthaSite" and the new image will replace the old one.

Please note that the white instruction box will only appear in editing mode, and will disappear when you preview or publish your site. Also, you may use the default banner image if you wish.

Here is a link to more information on the attributes of the different styles: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?ke...

I wanted the phote to the left of the image on the right. that would create a banner. What I got was a photo on top of my logo instead of next to it. What happened?

Hello Earl,

If you add your image to the banner area, you will then be taken to a cropping page where you can move your image around in the banner area, and scale it to fit in the area provided. Here is a screen shot of what I just did in a test site. This should work for you if you move your image to whatever side of the banner image area does not have your page heading text. Let me know if this doesn't help, and possible a link to your site would be helpful so we can take a look at what you have currently.

I did all that, then went to my photo page. I placed my photo in the first panel and wrote a little something about my campaign. Then I went to the next panel and wrote all I wanted about myself and what I stood for. I saved that and published it. Well, I can't find all the typing I did on that page. What happened to it? that's a lot of typing.
