What is the recommended file type for a banner image on Yola? Does it matter if I use a png or jpg?

Hello Margie

Each style will have it own set of dimensions. You can find these dimensions for your banner by clicking on the banner area. A dialog box will open up and at the bottom of the box, the size of the banner will be displayed.

We support both .jpg and .png image files.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks, Sanja

I have the dimensions, just wondered if there was any advantage to using a png or jpg file.

The advantage of .png files is that they can be transparent - this can often help when designing the page and trying to blend the banner to background.

I would however (unless transparency is important to you) choose the smaller file of the 2 file types. The less Kb's the file is the better.
