Why when I go to change the banner does it say that always say that the banner is 803px x328px when it just isn't! This is really frustrating because creating a banner that is the right size is purely guesswork! Please someone help!

Hello Sam,

Yes, having the proper banner size is extremely important when creating it. When you say it "always says 803x328" , do you mean that you are switching between styles and finding that many of them say 803x328; because many of the styles have different dimensions.

When you click on Edit Page Design and then on Banner Image you should see the dimensions at the bottom, I will attach a screen shot. Can you give me a bit more information about what you are seeing and let me know what Style and browser you are using.

Hey Alex, sure!

<embed src="resources/audio.mp3" width="140" height="40" autostart="false" loop="FALSE"></embed>

Just put your audio file in there.

Emmy I've just seen a tool bar in your screen shot that I don't have on my Yola site builder - the green tool bar that says edit page design?

That is because this post is over a year old and the site builder has changed.

Hi Debra

John is correct in saying that it's a year old. We have since upgraded our Sitebuilder and it looks and works slightly differently from the screen shot you see here. You will now find these options under Style > Edit Banner or Edit Background. There is also the option to choose a different style template. If you have Yola Silver, you will have the option to customize the CSS here too.

Hope that helps! :)

Hi Emmy.

Yes, this is the process I have followed. However, I have tried several different styles and they all say that the image is 803x328, When I create a graphic in Illustrator or any other package and save the image as 803x328 is does not fit the banner on the site. The banners on the styles I have used are quite obviously not 803x328 even though it says they are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Sam

Is the image itself 803x328? you need to save the image size as 900 x 180px. Then, that should fit inside your banner area.

Can you post a screenshot that displays the banner dimension you're seeing?

Hi Sam,
Can you tell us what style you are using, then upload here the banner image you are trying to insert, I would like to test it. If you would rather email this to me at support@yola.com I can help you from there. If you choose to do that just put Attn: Emmy and I will pick it up. Thanks!
