Gotta say, even though there are a few bugs every once in a while, I love this site builder and it works flawlessly %99.9 of the time. It is incredibly easy to use, and would recommend it to anybody!

I'm not a website developer. I've been trying Yola now for a few weeks. There's a lot I like. However I sometimes find my pages slow to load (even though the image / media content is minimal) . I also find the graphic ability limiting ( I am a graphic media professional ) . And I found the blogging functions difficult to navigate (using disqus)

This is really useful feedback craigar. I would like to check out the slowness you report, would you mind posting your site URL? Also what browser are you using?

Can you expand on the graphic limitations you're experiencing? We may be able to offer some suggestions on that front.

Your comments on the blog functions are right on. We're keenly aware that this is not an area of strength for us and hope to continue expanding on our blogging functionality in the future.

Hi Laura,
Kudos for the prompt customer support & feedback.
Yes, initially I was thinking I'd put my business site on Yola. But after building my wedding site there I have second thoughts for reasons stated.
Ironically I found Get Satisfaction while I was looking around for another sitebuilder website.

would you mind posting your site URL?

I emailed it to you; I replied to the email version version of this thread I recieved

Also what browser are you using?

Safari

Can you expand on the graphic limitations you're experiencing? We may be able to offer some suggestions on that front.

How to layer graphics, text on graphics particularly text on the banner. Also is it possible to wrap text around an image?
As I said I'm very new to sitebuilder technology; so pardon me if my questions are too far fetched. In the past I've had varying degrees of exposure to iWeb, RapidWeaver and Dreamweaver.

Your comments on the blog functions are right on. We're keenly aware that this is not an area of strength for us and hope to continue expanding on our blogging functionality in the future.

Thanks for your honest acknowledgment; how refreshing. It reflects well on Yola.

Hi Craig,

I'm a bit confused about where to look for the email of your site URL so I was unable to check it out.

As for layering graphics, you would be best served by doing that in a separate program such as Photoshop or a free alternative such as GIMP and uploading your finished design.

Also specifically pertaining to your banner, you may want to check out this thread in our forum about banner making programs.

I hope this helps. Please post your URL or email it to support at Yola.com with a link to this thread if you need further assistance with your site.

Hi Laura,

When you address me in this forum, I receive a copy in my email. I responded to that email. I don't know how or if you can get to that email.

Yes, I did some work in PS (photoshop). However it's preferable to have flexibility inside of your sitebuilder.

In any event the biggest issue for me is how fast my site loads and how reliable the server is. Is it my imagination or did I notice some slowness, stalling?

Hi Craig,

That is a no reply email so until I receive a link of your site I am unable to take a look at the load time problems you report. You are welcome to post it here or email it to us at support@yola.com with a link to this thread and we'll take a look.
