First, notice that when I log in to yola and then go here, I have to enter with a facebook or other password. Nice touch yola to minimize criticism.

Next, now when I want to edit font colors, it is no longer there on the toolbar. You definitely get what you pay for--which here costs nothing and (fill in the rest).

Hi Robert,

Our Forum is hosted with Get Satisfaction, and not through our own platform, which is why you have to re-enter your password when logging in. This also provides extra security for your forum posts.

The Style Designer allows you to select a font family for your body of text and it will apply to all Text Widgets added to your site. For consistency, you can also set default sizes for different headings, and use the Formatting option to select these headings for sections of your text.

I would be happy to provide you with the steps, however it appears that you have deleted your account. If you have another active account that you are working on please let me know and I will send you the instructions.

Thanks!

First, thank you for responding. Second, I was logged into my yola account and still had to enter a google password to post my reply. I guess I am naive in wondering why a second level of password entering is needed for a forum.

I still have an account. Regardless, what you have done is taken something that was simple to use--the original bar with fonts, which would appear every time I highlighted text, and have now added a second layer I have to penetrate to do basic functions such as change fonts. So sure please send me the instructions and please please explain to me how more steps makes a product better or more convenient.

Thanks,

Bob

Hello Robert,

If you have an old account then you can still use the original text editor and so change fonts as you wish to do. To do this turn off the Style Designer and select the old text editor for your font changes.

Hi Robert,

The reason why font attributes are now being edited via the Style Designer instead of inline, is that this allows them to be applied consistently across the entire site, and resolves numerous bugs we were unable to fix with inline editing in the old text widget. After the initial step of setting up the font attributes, the text editing toolbar can be used as before.

We will also be adding additional features which will give you many more editing options for your fonts in the near future. We are striving to achieve a balance between ease of use and a reliable and attractive result. The old text widget was extremely buggy and outdated. However, as Gop has said, if you have an old account you can still continue to use it as you wish.

Here are the steps to change the color of your font using the old text widget:

1. Click inside your Text Widget to bring up the Text Editing Toolbar.
2. Highlight your text, and on your Text Editing Toolbar, click on the icon that has a T on top of a paint palette. This will give you a selection of colors from which to choose.
3. Select the color you would like and make any other changes you would like to your text.
4. Remember to Save and publish your site.
