Blog posts keep disappearing

I keep having trouble with blog posts disappearing. The link will still be there but the body of the post is completely gone. It happens randomly with different posts.
It's happened again and it's getting REALLY frustrating. I have to go into Google cache to retrieve what I've written so that I can re-create the post.

It's happened again but for some reason even though it's an older post it's not cached and so I'm not able to re-create it.

(Did I mention it's REALLY frustrating?)

The particular post that has disappeared this time is:

Hello farragio,

Wow, this is truly mysterious! I have never heard of or experienced this personally.

Is there another person who has access to your site?

The content would need to be removed for this to happen so that is the reason for the above question.

I suppose that invalid code/content may have an effect on your site and can see from past history that this has occurred previously so wondering if this may still be an effect somewhere in your site?.

Hi Gop. No one else has access to my site. I vaguely recall that this happened a few years ago when Yola first introduced the blog feature and I had discontinued my blog at that time because of it. I had hoped that after all this time the bugs would have all been worked out.

Angela thanks.

It is probably the most frustrating situation I have heard of. I hope that Yola can trace this for you and it can be solved.

Gop.

Hi farragio,

First I have to say your blog looks elegant and delicious! I went through a number of your posts checking the source code in order to detect if you had copied any of your posts from a rich text editor. I did not see any evidence of that in the posts I reviewed but it could contribute to display problems if you have done so. You can read more here.

I am at a loss about this and can't even fathom how frustrating this must be. I will ask our engineers to look into this although I worry that there's not much for them to see without being able to reproduce it and yours is the only complaint I have seen like this. I know it's far from ideal, but I suggest you backup your posts by storing them in a text editor offline for the interim.

If you can think of any details that may stand out and connect the times you have seen this occur, it could be useful to our team in troubleshooting this.

Hi Laura, thanks for the response and for the compliment. :) I'm in the process of copying the HTML for my posts in Notepad, that way if it happens again I can just copy and paste it back into the post.

One extra detail I'll throw in here is that when I open up the Blog Manager and click on an existing post to edit it, most times the edit page that opens up will be blank. I have to close the edit page and re-open it for the content to reappear. This happens almost every time I open up a post to edit it.

Can you get that to happen regularly? I ask because if you can it would be worth scheduling a webex with one of our call center representatives in order to see what's happening.

Yes, it happens on a fairly regular basis. As a test, I just logged into my Yola account and went to the Blog Manager and it happened on one of the posts I tried opening up just now.

I'm sorry to hear that, but relieved it gives us something to work with as well! Will have an agent reach out to you direct tomorrow.

Great, thanks!

ETA: I was scrolling through my Yola Community posts and found that I had created a post about this problem around a year ago, I had forgotten about it. There is a screen shot of the blank problem.

You can read it at:

Just thought I'd throw it in here in case it helps.
