I made my website with you guys. I was told I needed a host. I didn't want godaddy so went with bluehost. Blue host doesn't interface with you guys and now I am hosted but can't update my site without a lot of hickups, fiddly and my husband did it. I want to be able to have my site hosted. do you do this?

Hello Suzanne,
We will host your site for free and updating your site will be a whole lot easier! It's not necessary to have another host for a site you built with Yola.

What you must have done is downloaded your site from the site builder, and then uploaded to another host. If your site is still in the site builder you can easily configure your domain name to point towards our ip address and then publish your site to that domain name and we will then be your host.

We have a tutorial outlining the steps to configuring your domain, giving two popular domain name registrars as examples: Using a Domain Name not purchased through SynthaSite.

These are general instructions on how to configure your domain to point to Yola. If you require specific help with the interface of your domain name registrar, please contact them for support.

How to configure a domain name you already own:

1. Log in to your chosen domain registrar (eg.,
2. Go to the DNS Management page.
3. Set up an A Record.
4. The IP address of your record must point to: ""

Please note that it can take up to 48 hours (although usually less) for these changes to take effect and you need to contact your domain registrar if you need help in that regard. Feel free to forward any instructions you receive from them to us so that we can advise you further.

Once you have configured your DNS settings, click the yellow "Publish My Site" button in Yola, then click on "I already own a domain name". Fill in your domain name and follow the prompts to publish your site.

Once your site is published to your domain the hard part is over and you will be able to edit your site and then update it with a single click.

If I can assist you further please let me know.

Kind Regards,
