Blurry Images

The images I upload to my site are becoming very blurry. I have tried every different combination of image size, dpi, file type, etc I can think of. But they still end up blurry. When I first opened the site I didn't have this problem with the images.

As an example on this page I have an image I posted when I opened the site (top) and one from today (bottom). They are the same file, nothing changed, but a big difference in sharpness, Is there any way round this?

Hey Josh

Sometimes the difference of even one pixel can be so noticeable if you have the images side by side.

In your case, I see that the width settings are off on the bottom image from the image original dimensions.

Top image:
resources/IMG_7904%20colour.jpg.opt618x375o0,0s618x375.jpg" style="width: 618px; border: medium none;

Bottom image:
resources/IMG_7904%20colour.jpg.opt619x376o0,0s619x376.jpg" style="width: 620px; border: medium none;

You see in the code that the image is 619 pixels wide but the setting that you have is 620 pixels. While it is not off by much like I said even one pixel difference is noticeable.

Additionally, as the top image is 618px wide and the bottom is 619px wide there will be a tiny image quality shift.

The images are in fact two different images with one 618x375 and the other at 619x376

Change the 620 to a 619 and I bet that you see a change for the better...

Happy site building

Hi Ed,

Thanks for your quick reply. I think it might be a browser issue. The recent blurry images were uploaded using chrome, but when re-uploading them with firefox (the same files) they look fine.... Is this a known problem?
