I would like to be able to add a booking calendar to my site so that perople can book when going on holiday.

My current site is www.imiparking.co.uk I have, with Yola, made a better looking site, www.imigatwickairportparking.co.uk. However I need to source a booking calendar that people can use to book and I would then use Paypal to take payments. Any ideas on a widget or anything that will aid me.

Thanks in advance
Ian

Hi parkers,

Really interesting concept for someone not in this area of experience. The calendar you refer to is available from a number of sources and most are linked to property rental, free widgets but linked to the property site itself. There are others that come with a price tag.

Jotform have a time data option in their forms creation that may be of interest but this doesn't display a date grid after the booking just the the information for you to process. You can capture it in a spreadsheet and display the spreadsheet data as a calendar. They do have PayPal connection but I don't know if the rental period can be connected. Should be easy to find out and Jotform are gems to deal with

There is a Professional widget that on specs does what you are asking for and collects payment but requires the use of a database which Yola doesn't offer . Purchase price of $175 it would mean that you would have to install it in WordPress and then create a link within your Yolasite to the WP site..

HI Gops

Thanks for the reply. I shortened what my full requirements are just to save on typing, however I think the 'professional widget' is the way to go. Although I will also need to add the facility to send a confirmation email with info on it, and also have a promo code for people to use. Having then looked at the options it is going to be a very hefty price tag.

Cheers

Hi Ian. I did notice the steep grade in prices for the add ons. Try to negotiate with them or ask them for some trial period discount for instance. I'm sure they will at least show some more interest in a genuine interest from a person who has a definite plan. Good luck.

Hi, Parkers,

I'm not sure if it suits your needs, but did you look at the Appointment Book Widget under the Forms & Appointments category in the right sidebar?

Hi Diane

I had a quick look, but there is no demo to show what it does. I didn't want to sign up to something, even if it is free, if it cant do what I want.

Do you know then if it is capable??

Just signed up, thought it can't hurt. As far as I can make out this is only for a day to day booking system. It doesn't allow for block booking of say a week or 2 weeks. Not really of any use to me, unless I have missed something.

Hi parkers

The Full Slate widget does not allow block bookings. So as this is a feature you need, it is not the ideal system to use.

I hope you are able to use the Professional Widget mentioned on this thread, as it looks like it will suit your purposes.
