I know i read somewhere about how to remove borders, but i don't remember where that was. Would that help the page to fill the screen? Can you help?

Hi popeye,

When you mention "borders" are you talking about the template border that defines your content area? I see that you started another topic thread about how to create a web page without using a template... so I'm assuming your removing border question now is also related to removing some of the display restrictions imposed by template styles?

Each style has its own borders for the area where you can add content, and you can't add widgets outside of that. One of the reasons why the styles have this region is to prevent people with smaller screens from having to scroll horizontally to see your page. This is something most people find very annoying, so we have tried hard to use styles that will look good on everyone's computer as much as possible.

Right now you need to select your style from our style library. We are working on adding more and better styles/templates with more customization options, perhaps developing your own CSS (where you would have the ability to change the page screen lay-out area). However, this functionality is going to take significant engineering on our part, so it is still a little ways into the future. In the meantime I hope you can find a style to suit your needs.

I didn't start a tread about webpage templates. I might have posted on it. But my question was not about adding content outside of the borders, it was about removing them. I read in a post that they can be changed, or moved, but i don't remember where that was.

You're absolutely right, thanks for mentioning. I meant to say that you posted on that topic thread, not started it. And I should have just supplied the link to that topic thread, like mredsayshi did -- much better that way. But just to echo what she said, I have to advise against changing anything that could interfere with the template style (a.k.a. CSS ) format, and the way your website displays -- which I think, is basically the gist of what you're wanting. Please proceed with caution, and copy and paste original code for safety!

Also, your website is really coming along, and Buddy is adorable!

I think this is the one you were thinking about but I don't think it will do what you are talking about to make the screen fill out as you put it. It simply removes the light outline border around some gif files as well as some others. Unless you understand how to change the code around I would be careful. Do copy and paste the original code into wordpad or word then save it then do your changes and save under another name. It is wise to have the backup of the original to revert to if your editing does not work...

yeah popeye the added little info sometimes happens when you cut out of microsoft word and paste into the text widget and as I created the lower red colored box below with using word. It just happens sometimes. Firefox does not recognize this information but Internet Explorer does and it just looks BAD. Thanks for letting me know it was there for I had not checked with my IE lately. (I use Firefox)

The way to get rid of it is to simply click just to before the first letter of the first word just after the unwanted info (You see there are so many items to) and then click delete until that first letter is next to the last letter or punctuation in the text directly above the unwanted info, then click enter as many times as is necessary to achieve the desired look. Someone may run into this problem in the future so I just thought to add it.

Example of extra info:

simply cheap siding exterior walls? Does it have GFCI protected power or none at all? Laminate flooring or plywood? is it on pressure treated runners or none at all? Do you want it to last 1,5,10 or 30 years?

<!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]-->

You see there are so many items to consider when planning a purchase such as this. When building my play-home I took into consideration not only the enjoyable use by your child but the growth in height as well.

Hi mredsayshi,

This may help you. If you want to cut and paste then this is one possible solution: copy it from Word, paste it into something like Notepad, and then copy that text to paste into your text widget. Seems lengthy but eliminates the problems brought by using text directly copied from Word!

Odd that it does not happen all the time though.

I don't have the need for you tip because I think I'm done for now but I am sure that might help someone else...

Glad you liked it so much Adrienne but I think you are being a little over the top with your comments. It is far from perfect and for my first site it will do fine for now...

I wonder what others think of it though maybe I will do as others have and say "hey look at me!!!" I think that sounds too self promoting and then again maybe i won't.

I would much rather say hey look at this and this is how you can do it. You know to help others rather than just sitting around and not doing anything to help.

Anyway just some thoughts...
