I'm currently setting up a club site. Anyone done something similar that I could have a look at and get some tips and inspiration from? Being a novice to site-building, I don't know what I don't know so might be missing out on some good features and functions.

Hi Stephen,

I'm hoping that someone will give you a link to their site that will help! From our side, we can give you lots of detail on building your site: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/. Perhaps the Site Structure & Design page is useful to you: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/....

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi Stephen can you tell us what sort of CLUB site you are meaning for instance a football club, golf club, or a club for clubbers?

Hi Craig - yes it's a classic car club. I've got much of the basics there but it looks a bit sterile compared to others that have coloured boxes etc. (bear in mind that I'm no programmer).

Thanks Craig - great site - lots to think about. Is there an easy answer as to how to create shaded boxes? My site is basic white at the moment. Customising of page tabs and links looks good too.

I want to have a site just like the abbotsfordgolfsction website above. I want to rename it to a fishing club and change a few other things. I like the setup and tabs and all. How do I start a website that looks just like this,

Thanks

Kumar

Hello Kumar,

This site was built a few years ago with a lot of sweat. Things have got easier since then with Yola introducing newer customisable templates that allow for all of this. I suggest that you look at Skyline and SuperFlat styles and simply work forward.

If your looking for code to create a coloured box there are a few websites im sure the Yola staff could point you to or I could paste a code i have used and all you have to do is change the colour to one of your choice!! The page tabs i played about with after getting a code from: -

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicin...

all you have to do for links is type a web address and highlight the name and press on the llinks on the toolbar and retype the web address on the menu that will show up and it turns to a link its also the same for a picture to make it a link.

Hope that makes sense as I say im no expert here
