What is process for building a site for a client? Does the client have to open an account first then hand over loogin info for you to commence building the site for them.Or is there a way for you to do this and then hand over the site to client once built.
The best way to do this is to create separate accounts for any site you are creating for someone else, as there is no way to transfer a site from one account to another once it is created. Then once you have completed the site you can turn it over to the client. I hope that helps, if you have more questions please let us know!
Is this still the case?? Yikes! Now I'm thinking that I might be in a bit of a pickle as I have created a fairly elaborate site for a "not for profit" society on my silver account (because I needed to use some of the silver features) before I ran it by the executive for approval. (they didn't want to spend the $$ unless they were satisfied with the end product) Can I really not move it to a separate account now?? I don't want to give out my password to other members to do work on it, as they will also have access to meddling with my personal website.
I can understand your feelings regarding this. Please can you email firstname.lastname@example.org with all the details of the existing account, the name of the site as well as the new account information. We'll see what can do for you.
