Hello,

Why when I enter bullet points into my web pages they don't follow the same formatting as block text, which appears to have a default 1.5 line spacing, whilst the bullet points appear to have no line spacing?

Thanks.

Hi Chris,

If the default line spacing of your Text Widget is double-line spacing, you can hit the Shift+Enter keys together (Firefox and Internet Explorer) or Ctrl+Enter (Safari) to change the next line to single spacing in the next line.

This should then fix the problem you are experiencing with the bullet point lines pacing.

I hope this helps!

Hello Chris,

You should be able to do this using Justine's method above.

If you can't then you should be able to do it by hitting enter and then enter again. This will remove the bullet point but give you the double space. You can then click on the bullet point tool again and it will re-add it (with your double spacing)

I hope this helps.

No, this doesn't answer my question.

I want double line spacing for my bullet points not single line spacing as is Justine's reply.

Hi Chris

Thank you for the updated information.

I have looked at your site in both Firefox and Chrome and see that the line spacing in your bullet points are in single line spacing.

If you would like all your bullets throughout your site to have 1.5 line spacing, you can add CSS code to do this - you are on a Yola Silver subscription, which means that you can change the CSS site wide.

To change the CSS:

  • Open the Sitebuilder.

  • Click on Style > Edit Custom CSS. This will open up the CSS editor screen.

  • Enter the code below in the left-hand pane.

  • Click "OK" to save the changes and return to the Sitebuilder screen.

Here is the code to use:
li {
line-height: 150%;
}

Here is a before and after view:

AFTER CODE:

I hope this works for you. Let us know if you need any more help with it.

When I apply numbers or bullets to a list, the line spacing changes to single. I would like to keep the default double spacing with the list. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks
