BUTTONS, BUTTONS AND MORE BUTTONS... can I get some opinions???

So 7 hours and all total 16 individual buttons one at a time to get this desired look... Wowzer... All this time later with 3 more pages and a lot more info and I am a little on the fried side. My brain has gone to sleep and I will soon follow but I wanted to ask everyone's opinions on the new set of nav buttons on my home page and the overall looks. I am going to later put the smaller ones on the bottom in place of the larger ones but that will take another 4 hours to do all of my pages. So another day...

As well I am going to hide all but the Home button on the very top and put the new smaller ones on each page like the Index page shows them.

I can't get over how when I look at them I get a craving for candy...LOL

Thanks for looking in advance...

Okay Boomer give it a look see today...

A little added since you last looked at it...

Raise the bar now that's a little much isn't it?

When I get done I will add a link in my Links Page to another web site I will create with everything I did right there to see step by step.

Should be next month though because I am awfully busy right now...

I think your site is looking great. I looked it yesterday and saw some of your big changes! You are using mouseover images very effectively to show a larger view of your playhomes. Clever! If I were you I would start focusing most of my time on driving traffic to my site at this point. Frequent updates are good for SEO, but you also don't want to alter the layout and navigation of the site too often, to avoid confusing repeat visitors.

hadn't planned to rush the driving just yet because I wanted to get it as good as I could before I did anything to drive more to it.

I just needed to get it to a state that I would be satisfied with it and not want to change a great deal of content. I am soon to that point and right now am happy with 90% of it and can soon set it aside and do its thing...

Can't run until you walk kind of thing.

It seems I have added to every page I had and added more pages to that...

This has become a most enjoyable experience I must say...

No bar to raise I say. It is limitless what we can do here and I simply hope that those who look at my site can glean from it some interesting ideas and from my posts use the tools I found to better their sites themselves.

Way cool and Freekin awesome I say...

total site buttons are hundreds

Hey, Bra... just looked at your site again... it is truly the "decked out low-rider" of sites! Every time I see it, I have to go to mine and change something! Where did you get the secure client log in? How's that work?

yeah hey I was at your site and I don't know if its you changin things around but you have many 404 errors on your index page links. You are probably working on that right now though so I won't get on you too much and tease you.

And that flickr slideshow is growing on me again seeing it so many times on your site and I may have to go back and revert to using it again.

As to the login I simply created a page with a button on the index page linking to it. On that page I used on of the new wufoo forms to creat a lost password form and to the left I added an image of users (no not the drug kind) and linked them to a new page which was password protected. This seemed to be an easy fix and a good layout.

Okay okay everything I have on my site will be fair game and sometime this month I will open a new page where I will describe step by step how I did it all. This page will be password protected and the viewer will have to go to the forums to locate the sign in and password. I have pretty much described it all in the forums already but I will combine it all in one place.

Glad you always get a kick out of my site... It helps me to feel good about it...

I'm thinkin about adding my skype me to my site so that anyone can reach me but I may open a new account so my personal stays private.

I'll work on getting the flickr slideshow up again and see how it looks to me now that I have my site a little better.

actually, I have no clue about 404 errors. what are they, and how do you see them?

You could be getting 404 errors on some pages because you changed the name of a page and didn't update a link somewhere else on your site.
The first link in your list "Logos" - is it meant to go to the page "Logo Design"? If I'm not right, could you let me know or click on Help > Contact Support in the Site Builder so that we can help you further.
Your site is looking good!

Thanks for the heads up, bra. And Marije you were right on.. I renamed some pages and assumed the links would follow. I never even checked them. I re-set them all 1 by 1.and then checked them each... all better. Thanks you guys!

P.S. I think you and I think much alike

I love your side buttons as well even if they are on the opposite side as mine;) Very appealing and different from the norm... I liked it.. Also, I had played around with a talking avatar months ago and because of being a bit self conscious I chose against it for now but yours was great and what a pretty voice. All in all a good site which can get only better
