Can I back up my site?

Greetings! I searched this topic before writing here, and found that the latest thread was three years old. So, I'm asking to learn if any updates have addressed this question.

A recent Yola newsletter email mentioned the new Google algorithm, and why we might want to change our templates. While I want to be found easily by Google, I'm afraid to play around with the template.

I've had a Yola site for six years this month, working on it at least weekly. I'm definitely afraid to try a new template, without knowing I can safely keep my site the way it is, should I choose to do so.

I tried setting up a new site to see how it might work with different templates, but found the site builder to work much differently than what I'm used to. This may be because I've stubbornly stuck with the earlier text editor. I don't want to change how I edit my site. I love Yola, my Yola site, the template I've been using, and the original text editor.

So, I must be very sure that I can save my site, before I try any major experimenting.

Hello Sister,

There is no backup facility for users of their site. That facility was removed several years ago.

Your site design is very simple and would easily lend itself to Style change. Go on...be a devil.

Gop is correct, there's no way to backup your site but your content will all transfer to your new style. If you don't like it you can go right back to your old style and your settings will be retained!

Thank you Gop and Laura. I was afraid that was the case. But wouldn't that be a good idea, just as we can use "save as" to begin a new page from an old one, to be able to "save as" our sites to build another without starting from scratch?

Yes, it is a good idea and it has been logged as a feature request but it's not currently planned.
