Can I add a small youtube video that turns into the normal sized video when clicked?

I've noticed on many websites that they display small, button sized versions of Youtube videos. When clicked, they become the normal size. Is there a way to do this with Yola?

If not, does displaying several videos on a page cause slow page loading times? I haven't found any major problems myself using Firefox. Here's an example page, if anyone has any problems loading it then please let me know.

Hi Marky,

For a start, no it does not effect load time as the video are not buffered on page load, so intill they are clicked they are just basically blank elements on the page.

If you could find an example of a site which uses thumnail size vids then expands them i could probably work out how they do this (are you sure theres not an option from within YT to achieve this) If not its probably some kind of expanding div.

And finally if you wanted to reduce the size slightly i guess you can change the size of the player manually by looking for the height and width values in the emdedding code.

Finally, your using a very thin style template, if you wanted to add and spread out more content you could think about changing to a wider style - tasteless.. or cleanslate are much wider.

Another really easy option would be to create a playlist and embed the playlist instead of all the videos seperatly.

Thanks for all that info UK Duke. I like the style of the template I'm using on my site, it's a pity Yola don't offer a wider version! I'm thinking about changing to a wider template, though, as I would be able to fit more videos into a smaller area.

I didn't think about a playlist. So obvious, but I missed it completely! Hmm, there are some good ideas here. I'll go away and think about these.

Thanks very much!
