Is there a way to create a very small forums page using Yola? I have poked around but don't really see what would allow me to do that.

Thanks,
Keith

Nabble has free forums that are very easily embedded into Yola. Ask if you need help adding them to your site.

I have a forum via iframes on my site. It embeds nicely (with some tweeking) and goes with my whole theme. I had the forum before i started with synthasite but its nice to blend the two. Unfortunately for me, the forum does not count as part of my main site due to the iframe. So that aint too great for SEO. but hey ho, at least it works and looks ok.

It is from SMF (simple machines forum) and although my forum is a main paid hosting one, there are many freehosting sites out there for SMF.
Have a look and be (hopefully) inspired.

Could you tell me how you got the .co.cc domain name to work on your website? The only way i could figure it out was domain forwarding and most of the links didnt work. Alsomy main question is how did you get the SMF forum on yola? (Sorry i dont know how to message you directly lol)

Hi Cody.
Trouble with using .co.cc. is that you are unable to have individual page urls as they are cloaked by the .co.cc.
So if you link to a certain page, you'll have to use "yoursite.yola/certainpage" rather than "yoursite.co.cc/certainpage".
Using .co.cc will always take you to the index page.
I ditched using .co.cc and ones like it when i bought the url i use now.

As for the forum. a real complex bit of coding was used:

< /IFRAME.... >
(without spaces)
and thats that.

Design your Yola page with the HTML block. Enter the code above, replacing 'forumsite' with the address of your forum. Alter width and height to suit and hey presto, you got a forum on Yola.

I use this way and the forum works great. It flows with the rest of the site and seems seamless.

Im not with SMF anymore but when i was i used the trick as above.

Hope this helps.
